Okay so every single time I sit down to write a blog post I always want to start with “What an AMAZING wedding day” but in all honesty each and every wedding I have captured are all unique and all have different “favorites” for me. They have all been so wonderful and for that I am so grateful!
Katherine and Hayden’s wedding day was no different!! It was my first time shooting at The Firehouse for a wedding and it sure did not disappoint! Fall was in full bloom that day with a cool breeze but perfectly sunny.
When I got to Katherine she had a beautiful glow and the happiest demeanor. She was so excited and ready to marry her MIDDLE SCHOOL sweetheart! Hayden and Katherine started dating at a very young age and have waited a long time for this day! Katherine had an amazing girl squad ready to help her marry the man of her dreams.
Hayden had the same exact demeanor as Katherine. They were both just SO excited that their dreams were finally coming true.
Hayden was missing one very special part of him on Saturday. His grandpa. He unfortunately passed away just a week before the wedding and was so very missed. Hayden did such a great job paying tribute to his memory and carried a photo of him right beside his heart. I know he was smiling down on such a glorious day!
Hayden and Katherine both looked absolutely stunning and elegant. Their wedding was beautiful and classic with their black, white and gold colors.
Since they did not do a first look, getting to see Hayden’s face the first time he saw his bride, at the ceremony, was priceless! He was beaming with joy!!
Once all the photos were done, the Plowhouse kicked off the reception with some amazing food!! After that the party quickly started and almost everyone stayed on the dance floor until the night was over. One cute detail was that Hayden and Katherine both loveeee their golden gooses (sneakers, if you don’t know!) so they both switched to those for the reception and danced the night away!
Over all it was such an incredible day and they had the best support helping them celebrate their marriage. I am so happy for Katherine and Hayden and grateful they trusted me. Enjoy some of my favorites from their wedding day!!
